“I have been in Owen Sound for over a decade and witnessed the socio-economic and political changes in Grey and Bruce counties.

Women represent 51 percent of the population but only 29 percent are elected municipal council members. Women's inclusion is fundamental to a progressive and sustainable society. Therefore, our voices are crucial at the municipal level to apply the gender lens in the decision-making process and address barriers that women and gender diverse people face. 

I am happy to be part of the planning team in this great community initiative because I bring a unique perspective to the planning team to empower and support women through their political career.”
